Lin Heung Tea House (蓮香樓)

Had dinner at Lin Heung Tea House for the first time. My previous visit (also my first) was during lunch time where they serve dimsum and tea (in traditional cups) and it was a much better experience.

Dinner wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t exactly good either – except for the last dish, the crispy chicken we ordered after seeing what the table next to us ordered. To be fair, we probably ordered all the wrong dishes, so … this is definitely not the last visit.

I definitely appreciate the restaurant’s history, but the folks there has got to realize that doesn’t mean the waiters have the right to spit into buckets and walk around picking their noses. Luk Yu Tea House (陸羽茶室) shares a similar history, but they do a much better job training their staff. Then again, maybe people love Lin Heung for exactly the same reason.
